Day one hundred and forty.

No-trash challenge update. Mm, so I noticed I never wrapped up my 40 days without waste. The first few weeks started out well, but then I grew tired of saving every piece of non-recycable scrap of something. I'm still trying to decide what to make out of this accumulated garbage, which really isn't garbage at all.

Certain saved items have come in handy. Fruit & yogurt containers make nice holders for beginning plants, and my Earl Grey Tea box now holds my Gouache paint.
The point of my five weeks without waste: to be a little more mindful of what & how much is being sent to landfills and oceans every second of the day--and to do something about it on an individual level.

I could prattle on about recycling, composting, and the great pacific garbage patch. But maybe, hopefully, people already know environmental degradation is a problem. God's Earth is a beautiful little ball of dust suspended among billions of stars & galaxies. It'd be nice to keep it alive and clean.
